Meiko on Conan O'Brien

Last night I was watching Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Not only was one of my fave actresses, Amy Sedaris, on the show, but the musical guest was awesome. Allow me to introduce you to Meiko. She reminds me of a cross between Mirah and Fiona Apple. The song she performed is called "boys with girlfriends." It's just such a fun, cute song. Not to mention I always stupidly make friends with boys with girlfriends... not enough songs about that in the world.

Cool tune. Melikes Meiko. Thanks for sharing. I don't really hear the Fiona Apple, though.

I had a fellow music lover agree with me. But she really reminds me most of Mirah and less of Fiona.

I met and interviewed Amy Sedaris's brother David (pretty famous author, if you know Amy you probably know him as well) in Paris a couple years ago. It was sort of a surreal experience, from looking up his number in the French online phone directory and him being completely surprised ("So... uh... how did you get my number, exactly?"). Nice guy, but we didn't have a lot of time for an interview so it was more like just getting a quick cup of coffee.

Amy's done some memorable work, although honestly I enjoy her interviews more than a lot of her acting sometimes.

That's awesome! I've read one of David's books (Holidays on Ice) and it was great.

She is always really fun on interviews. But I am also a die-hard Strangers With Candy fan.

Which is definitely it's own type of humor.
